Mike Lows (DJ Lows) is a versatile musician and DJ with over 20 years of experience, deep technical expertise, and encyclopedic knowledge of all things music. Born and raised in Seattle, USA, Mike grew up on a healthy diet of rock and hip-hop, which is well represented in his style of DJing. Fascinated by Seattle’s early 90’s music scene, he became an avid music lover at a young age. His passion for music resulted in amassing a large collection of vinyl spanning old-school funk, soul, disco, R&B, jazz and reggae, to modern rock, hip-hop and house. Mike eventually put his record collection to use by DJing house parties around the Seattle area and serving as guest host/DJ on KUGS (Bellingham, WA) hip hop show 360 Degrees.  
 

In 2003, Mike expanded his career internationally, taking up residency in Bangkok, Thailand, where he spun at iconic venues such as Café Democ, Club Culture, Cosmic Café, Dark Bar, Mellow, Q-Bar, Shades of Retro, and Studio Lam; DJed major events such as Kolour in the Park and Elle Fashion Week; as well as played alongside many well respected local DJs and international touring acts such as DJ Die, Fab 5 Freddie, and Onra. In 2015, he co-founded Nite Ride with DJ Boogie G, an ongoing monthly party celebrating boogie, disco and modern funk–a strictly all vinyl affair which steadily amassed a strong local and regional following.  
 

After a significant tenure abroad, Mike returned to Seattle in 2018, intentionally stepping away from DJing to embrace a new chapter of family life with his wife and daughter. In addition to being a skilled DJ, Mike is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays bass (electric & upright), guitar, piano & keyboards and trumpet.
